[body of secrets]

In this project, I will be juxtaposing public and private experience and language, bringing the public realm of mass-produced, sanitized, and desensitized language into dialogue with intimate, private, vulnerable, and forbidden landscapes of language.

In the first phase of this project, I will be gathering secrets contributed anonymously.  This survey invites you to share  secrets you have had or any private realms of experience.  All your responses are entered anonymously, so please share freely.  By filling this out, you agree to allow the textual material of your language to be incorporated in artistic or literary compositions by Sam Taylor.  It will be used anonymously and most likely only fragments of your language will be used to form a tapestry in which no single narrative is fully disclosed (thus, it will be doubly anonymous).

Please write answers in concrete detail, but respond spontaneously without any effort at composition, editing, censoring, or otherwise striving to be articulate or crafted.  I am interested in the off the cuff, first-thought-best-thought textures of informal, uncomposed, intimate language.  Thank you for participating!

Each question is optional.  Respond only to those questions you wish to.
What was your first secret? Please describe in narrative detail what you did, saw, or thought that you felt had to be kept secret.
Please describe the details of what it is you would not normally say rather than just conveying the general information. For example, if you were J. Edgar Hoover, to say "I crossdress in private" would be a fine start, but it would be better to then proceed to give more details, such as, "Sometimes when I am traveling, and alone in a hotel, I take out a small bag from inside my suitcase that contains ..." etc.
Remember that this will be completely anonymous and that threads of secrets will be woven together to form an even more anonymous tapestry, so you will most likely not be betraying someone's confidence. But, of course, follow what feels appropriate to you.
What would you never want either your boyfriend/girlfriend, or husband/wife, or mother/father, or son/daughter, or best friend to know?
