Sam Taylor is an American poet, essayist, and songwriter.  His first book of poems, Body of the World, was published by Ausable Press in 2005, was a finalist for Foreword Magazine's Poetry Book of the Year, and is now available from Copper Canyon Press.  He is currently completing a second collection, poems from which have appeared in The New Republic, Orion, Agni Online, Michigan Quarterly Review, New Letters, and Beloit Poetry Journal. He is also the lyricist for the band Some Say Fire.
